The Waters Edge at Giovanni’s in Darien, Connecticut played host to Terrence and Ashley’s fall wedding. The couple in their 30’s wanted a fun, upbeat wedding in a venue that could accommodate their large, 180 person guest list. Between the elegant atmosphere at the Waters Edge at Giovanni’s and the lively dance party we facilitated on the dance floor – the wedding reception hit the mark!
After the off-site ceremony, the celebration kicked off with a cocktail hour downstairs where guests, enjoying appetizers and refreshing drinks. As the sun began to set, the reception began with the wedding party’s introduction. The bridesmaids and groomsmen made a grand entrance to the spirited tune of “Shipping Up to Boston” by the Dropkick Murphys.
After the introductions were finished, Terence and Ashley took to the dance floor for their first dance to the acoustic version of “You’re My Best Friend” by Paul Canning.
Several toasts immediately followed since we had everyone’s attention, and to give time to the caterer in preparing the main course. At the conclusion of dinner, the couple cut into their cake to “Pour Some Sugar On Me” by Def Leppard.
Along with my DJ services, the couple also chose to have a live saxophone player accompany my beats, one of my signature offerings that we call the ‘Cheat Code Wedding’ for how much it livens up our dance floors!
