My retainer to secure your date is non-refundable, the overall fee is non-refundable seven days before your event.

For most events I do not. For weddings I will take about ten minutes while guests are finishing their meals during dinner music.

My Services

Nearly fifteen years now! For more background, see my About page.

For me, it’s playing the music they want to hear, what you want to hear. In addition I aim to provide the best possible experience, both on the dancefloor and off. I come with over five years of experience in the corporate world at the world’s largest hedgefund working in Client Service. Not many DJs bring that kind of white glove experience to the table.

You know the saying “Be Prepared”, the Boy Scouts motto? I was ingrained with the saying at an early age as I worked my way to Eagle rank. You can trust that every little detail will have been measured twice and doubled over. Check out my About page for more.

I take great pride in threading that needle, playing something for everyone. It’s something I’ve worked on for a very long time, then being able to seamlessly weave those genres together in a way that the dance-floor will respond. For me, it’s playing the music they want to hear, what you want to hear.

I take note of what I’ve already played and who my guests are. I switch up either the genre and/or the decade of music I’ve been playing and gauge the response. I continue rotating until I strike a cord, usually it doesn’t take long. Once I’ve got a winner I’ll go a little deeper into the genre and wah la!

I indeed provide lighting, live musician packages as well as supplemental audio for situations such as ceremonies, speeches, etc. For more information, check out my Weddings and Services pages in addition to my Blog where I provide a behind the scenes look at past weddings I’ve performed!

Each week I browse various music sources, not only iTunes but also professional DJ organizations that provide the latest songs curated specifically towards the profession. Checking the most Shazam’ed tracks of the month is a clever way I stay ahead of the curve on newly released songs!

For larger events such as weddings, that is my only event for the day.

Casual, conversational, upbeat, but not cheesy. I let my music do the talking, so I keep commentary to a minimum.

Yes! I have handheld as well as clip-on ‘lav’ microphones, perfect for my most popular Wedding Ceremony package.

Most weddings I meet with the couple on average twice. Other events usually take only one sit down but oftentimes a call will suffice.

What do you want me to wear? I like to blend in. If it’s a formal wedding I’ll be wearing a suit. Corporate events usually call for business casual. If it’s on a beach and everyone is in shorts, I will do the same, with your input of course.

Absolutely! I have prepared lists of music for each for wedding selection ideas. When I have an understanding of your tastes I can come up with even more tailored songs specifically for you.

I have my list of wedding staples but I also prepare a personalized set of music for each event and individual tastes.

All of my music is legal, purchased & downloaded with copies across multiple devices. Having the actual songs on my devices reduces chance of failure during crucial events like weddings, this way you are not at the whim of WiFi or cell reception!

I host a yearly breast cancer benefit. Instead of the usual speeches and rubber chicken dinners, we throw a kick ass party. Dan was the life of the party. He read our crowd so perfectly and had our party bumping all night. Not only did Dan do this on extremely late notice but he rocked. The music was so perfect and went perfectly with our party like atmosphere (Mora Mora in SoNo). I’m locking him down for next year and will definitely be using him for upcoming events and as a solid referral.

Brooke, Fairfield CT

One of the best New Year’s Eve events I’ve been to last year thanks to Dan’s superb selections! Can’t wait for the next party!

Christal, Norwalk CT

I have been a part of Dan’s experience on two occasions over the last two years. The most recent experience was heightened in that Dan was DJ’ing three separate channels [over wireless headsets]. I didn’t see one bored person in the crowd. Love the diversity in his music, and he knows how to rock it.

Arielle, Westport CT

Dan Moran was the DJ at our schools 6th Grade Dance . He is professional and kept the kids up and dancing!

Marianne, Paramus NJ

I would like to extend a big thank you to you, Dan, for donating your wonderful talent for our 2017 NICU NEOFEST celebration at Hackensack Meridian at Hackensack. Our families were so grateful for the entertainment you provided. You are the best!

Judy, Hackensack NJ

Dan was the entertainment for my graduation event & he was excellent. He is very professional and well as a crowd pleaser! I highly recommend his company for any event!

Alessia, Paramus NJ

Conducts business professionally and comes prepared for the job. Would hire for any of my events.

John, Westwood NJ

Silent disco was an absolute blast! Sets matched the venue.

Michael, Westport CT

Dan knows how to read a crowd well and is sure to start and finish your event strong! He delivers well thought out mixes and has a good ear for what will get the people going.
