I actually provide a digital contract as soon I have enough information to provide an accurate quote. No licking stamps here!

I require a 33-50% retainer depending on the event which combined with a completed contract secures your date.

My retainer to secure your date is non-refundable, the overall fee is non-refundable seven days before your event.

I require at least one month, if you have a need sooner contact me and we’ll chat.

Indeed I have a $2 million dollar policy.

Absolutely, I have two of nearly everything. Even a second laptop, DJ hardware and speakers.

At minimum I only need about six by six feet. Less might be accommodated but please ask.

I need 60-90 minutes to setup most events and 30-60 minutes to break down.

Depending on the event I arrive between one to two hours before and am typically done between 30-60 minutes following the event’s conclusion.

The majority of logistics are best gone over at least 30 days out, however I do my best to accommodate last minute changes a few days prior.

Weddings require up to two meals, one for myself plus an assistant. Other events are case-by-case.

For most events I do not. For weddings I will take about ten minutes while the rest of the guests are eating during dinner music.

My Services

For me, it’s playing the music they want to hear, what you want to hear. In addition I aim to provide the best possible experience, both on the dancefloor and off. I come with over five years of experience in the corporate world at the world’s largest hedgefund working in Client Service. Not many DJs bring that kind of white glove experience to the table.

You know the saying “Be Prepared”, the Boy Scouts motto? I was ingrained with the saying at an early age as I worked my way to Eagle rank. You can trust that every little detail will have been measured twice and doubled over.

I take great pride in threading that needle, playing something for everyone. It’s something I’ve worked on for a very long time, then being able to seamlessly weave those genres together in a way that the dance-floor will respond. For me, it’s playing the music they want to hear, what you want to hear.

I take note of what I’ve already played and who my guests are. I switch up either the genre and/or the decade of music I’ve been playing and gauge the response. I continue rotating until I strike a cord, usually it doesn’t take long. Once I’ve got a winner I’ll go a little deeper into the genre and wah la!

I indeed provide lighting packages, photo booth options as well as supplemental audio for situations such as ceremonies, speeches, etc.

Each week I browse various music sources, not only iTunes but also professional DJ organizations that provide the latest songs curated specifically towards the profession. Checking the most Shazam’ed tracks of the month is a clever way I stay ahead of the curve on newly released songs!

For larger events such as weddings, that is my only event for the day.

Casual, conversational, upbeat, but not cheesy. I let my music do the talking, so I keep commentary to a minimum.

Yes! I have handheld as well as clip-on ‘lav’ microphones.

Most weddings I meet with the couple on average twice. Other events usually take only one sit down but oftentimes a call will suffice.

What do you want me to wear? I like to blend in. If it’s formal I’ll be wearing a suit. If it’s on a beach and everyone is in shorts, I will do the same, with your input of course.

Absolutely! I have prepared lists of music for each to use for ideas. When I have an understanding of your tastes I can come up with even more tailored songs specifically for you.

I have my list of staples but prepare a set of music specifically personalized for your event and tastes.

I host a yearly breast cancer benefit. Instead of the usual speeches and rubber chicken dinners, we throw a kick ass party. Dan was the life of the party. He read our crowd so perfectly and had our party bumping all night. Not only did Dan do this on extremely late notice but he rocked.
