Fox Hill Inn is a classic style ‘mansion’ among a green tree-filled landscape. The drive from the road actually takes you through a short winding road through the woods, almost taking you on a little adventure away from reality.
As is the case with many large, luxurious houses, you enter the grand foyer which takes you straight to the reception hall past a classic and plush bar room on your right. A separate bar room is great allowing guests the option to retreat for private conversation as opposed to your enthusiastic guests who prefer the dance-floor.
Continuing past the bar takes you through double doors which cinematically open into a clearing where ceremonies are held, as was the case today. After the brief ceremony concluded, guests were guided upstairs for a cozy cocktail hour, complete with a small balcony for fresh air and equally refreshing views.
Shortly after the Cocktail hour concluded, guests moved back downstairs to the reception hall. 100 guests perfectly filled the space – not too sparse and not too empty, both of which can detract from the overall experience. We introduced the couple and with everyone’s attention, we had their first dance which flowed right into combined parent dances. Combined parent dances are an option for folks who don’t necessarily want the spotlight but still want a special moment!
Toasts were given after the bridal party was seated, all that remained was the cake cutting, paving the way for dancing and a stress-free evening where our VIPs did not have to worry about the clock and being pulled in various places for photos.
The Fox Hill Inn Wedding today ended perfectly with that crisp Autumn air of October!
